PBS WORKHORSES: COMFORT SOLES AND SNEAKERS

Our workhorses are two: comfort soles and sneaker soles. Let’s go through the top products in the PBS house in detail.

COMFORT

Two key words: comfort and style.

The comfort of the sole is ensured by the material from which it is made: an extremely soft microporous material that can cushion movements with lightness and flexibility.

Style, on the other hand, comes from two factors: constant updating to follow current trends through participation in industry trade shows and the ability to customize the product as desired.

In fact, the sole is totally customizable: machining starts from a preformed sole that is then machined according to the design or photograph provided by the customer.

The comfort sole is in demand by the market segment that seeks so-called “comfortable fashion.” If yesterday it was used exclusively in footwear in the orthopedic sector and for postural correction, today it is also increasingly in demand for sports shoes, such as sneakers, which we will discuss later, and for all those shoes that combine style and elegance with comfort and lightness.

Those who choose the comfort sole in fact do not give up on style, but follow trends and design: unlike in the past, when the comfortable shoe was ideally reserved for older customers uninterested in aesthetics, today’s clientele is increasingly demanding and looking for shoes that reflect their lifestyle, which in addition to being comfortable and functional do not give up on the fashion of the moment.

SNEAKERS

Even in sneaker soles, comfort remains the dominant value, combined with a very high degree of flexibility and resilience to protect the foot from the shocks of running and fast walking.

We have been producing soles for sneakers for years, when they were not yet so widely used in the market.

During the 1994 Lillehammer Olympics, for example, we made the soles of the shoes that the athletes of the Italian national team wore during the opening parade, the first example of shoes that were comfortable and high-performance but also aesthetically beautiful and fashionable.

Today we serve all kinds of clientele: fromhigh fashion, which has turned the sneaker into a must-have accessory in recent years, to the sports shoe as an end in itself for pure motor activity.

The real difference in sneaker soles is in the tread, which is machined to ensure maximum comfort in the long run. In addition, even for soles intended for sneakers, the preformed model can be shaped according to the customer’s requirements with special milling or with the lasing technique, which allows the Engrave letters or phrases directly on the side of the sole.
